Many non-Catholic Christians maintain that Catholics are not Christians at all. I define Christian in terms of “orthodoxy,” “creed,” “confession,” and “doctrine,” as opposed to a “wheat and tares,” “individual commitment to Christ” or “metaphysical” sense. Both sets of assumptions are valid in their own sphere, yet one must utilize some objective doctrinal criteria in order to define any belief system.
